South Tampa Pilates Instructors

Owner Kelly Griffin is a PhysicalMind Certified Pilates instructor and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Her B.A. in Social Sciences from SUNY Buffalo led her to develop the South Tampa Pilates community where students get solid results. She followed her passion for health and wellness and completed extensive formal training, earning mat and comprehensive apparatus certifications through the PhysicalMind Institute. Kelly’s commitment to continuing education has allowed her to participate in advanced workshops, training directly under Shelly Power and Brent Anderson of Polestar Pilates.

Liz Meyer is both a Balanced Body trained Pilates Instructor and a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. As a graduate of South University's rigorous PTA program, Liz utilizes her extensive knowledge of human anatomy and Pilates to individualize a Pilates fitness program that can both promote rehabilitation and improve strength. Liz's goal is to create flexibility and muscle balance to obtain a pain free and functional life for her clients.

When Liz is not teaching Pilates or helping clients as a PTA, she is a Table Games Dealer at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino here in Tampa. Liz enjoys traveling and discovering the most incredible waterfalls and hiking mountains. She has a passion for live music, loves to dance, is an avid reader of Harry Potter and a Taco enthusiast.

Alicia Conrad is a Balanced Bodies trained Pilates instructor and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. In addition to teaching Pilates, Alicia holds both a bachelors and master’s degree in the field of nursing and has worked in the field for almost 20 years. Through her work in nursing, she has developed a passion for health and wellness. It is this passion that pushed her to transition from a Pilates student to a Pilates instructor.

In her spare time, Alicia is an avid triathlete and runner. She has completed several sprint and Olympic triathlons, half and full marathons and finished her first half Ironman race in 2017. She credits Pilates for keeping her injury free and flexible throughout her training. As an instructor, Alicia hopes to show others the many benefits of Pilates training.

Teresa Williams is a member of Pilates Method Alliance and is a Power Pilates Certified instructor. Power Pilates is a classical system of training which stays true to Joseph Pilates original teachings. She trained under the direction of Tess Whelan, a student of Romana in NYC. She is an avid sports fan whose background includes 6 years as a personal trainer at the YMCA as well as running several of their athletic programs.  She also launched the YMCA's first  self-defense classes for women and children.  Her passion for the mind-body connection started with martial arts, where she was a national karate champion and a member of the US team.  Her 6 year study of karate led her to an instructor position where she taught the physical as well as philosophical teachings of the style.  Pilates, much like karate, is a discipline that takes years to perfect.  Your pilates workout constantly evolves as your core becomes stronger.  Teresa enjoys helping others live a healthier and happier lifestyle through a strong body and mind.
